No. Student Finance England covers 100% of your tuition fees (paid directly to the university) and provides a Maintenance Loan for living costs (paid to you). You pay £0 upfront and only repay after graduation when you're earning over £25,000/year.
Can I apply without A-Levels?
Yes. Foundation year courses accept GCSEs, BTECs, work experience, or mature learner status (21+). The foundation year is fully funded through Student Finance and guarantees progression to Year 1 of your degree. Your final qualification is identical to students who enter directly.
