Course Description

This is the last year of a health, wellbeing and social care degree, for students who have already completed the HND in Healthcare Practice with our partner college. Entry is restricted to those graduates, so it is a progression route rather than an open application. The year is about the step from delivering care to shaping it: leading teams, judging evidence rather than accepting it, managing quality, and facing the questions of social justice and vulnerability that the sector runs into daily. Entry Requirements

This direct entry year is open only to students who have completed the HND in Healthcare Practice at our partner college. It is not an open-entry course: if you hold an HND or a level 5 qualification from elsewhere, talk to an advisor first and we will tell you honestly whether there is a route for you.

Don't have A-levels? No problem.

We accept equivalent European qualifications: Diploma de Bacalaureat (Romania), Matura (Poland), Abitur (Germany), Baccalaureat (France), and more. Career changers and mature students with relevant UK work experience are also welcome.

Job Prospects

The degree is the qualification senior care and support roles ask for, and it is the usual step before postgraduate routes such as social work or nursing. The paths below are indicative, not a guarantee of employment.
